اقبال کی ظريفانہ شاعری
شيخ صاحب بھی تو پردے کے کوئی حامی نہيں
مفت ميں کالج کے لڑکے ان سے بدظن ہو گئے
وعظ ميں فرما ديا کل آپ نے يہ صاف صاف
"پردہ آخر کس سے ہو جب مرد ہی زن ہو گئے"
This couplet is a making fun of the new generation men adopting
women-like fashions
The priest is no so much in favour of the purdah
The college boys are prejudiced against him for nothing
The priest said very clearly in his sermon
“Who should women practice purdah from, when all men look like women"
